UniBond League Premier Division club Fleetwood Town have announced the signing of striker Steve Foster.
Despite being AFC Telford United's leading goalscorer in the UniBond Premier last season with eighteen goals, Foster was surprisingly released after helping his club to promotion to the newly-named Blue Square North.
The prolific striker had attracted interest from Fleetwood prior to his record £5,000 transfer from Radcliffe Borough to Telford and is a player the Fylde coast outfit have long coveted.
Chairman Andy Pilley expressed his delight at Foster's capture. “This signing is a real coup and another important piece in the jigsaw as we seek to strengthen our squad ahead of the 2007/08 campaign.”
Foster (pictured), who lives in Manchester, has signed a two-year contract at Highbury.
