Spoke to soon, Danny Brunskill with the equaliser for Whitby, 1-1 Posted on: April 19, 2007, 09:01:00 PM
Sounds like a good game, Whitby have a man sent off, Aaron Reid, for handball outside the area!!!
Now 2-1 to Matlock!!! Posted on: April 19, 2007, 09:03:31 PM
Reid is the keeper btw! Posted on: April 19, 2007, 09:05:19 PM
3-1 Matlock, thriller!!! Posted on: April 19, 2007, 09:09:05 PM
4-1 Matlock, in the absence of the keeper it looks like it is game over for Whitby!
I personally think Matlock are one of the better teams I have seen this season (I know it is easy to say when they are 4-1 up), just not been consistant and the fixture pile-up because of their pitch has been a problem. Posted on: April 19, 2007, 09:15:03 PM
Finished 5-1 to Matlock with a goal just before the end!!! Posted on: April 19, 2007, 09:40:28 PM
So, the outcome of that is that Matlock climb to 4th, on the same points as Marine but with better goal difference. They have now played 39 games (same as us and 6 points behind us). Guiseley drop out of the play-off spot for now!
Whitby remain in 12th with 57 points, having also played 39, with 3 games left (9 possible points), they can only end on 66 points which is the same as Guiseley but there goal difference is about 30 goals worse off - not helped by letting in another 5 tonight.
That is their 8th consecutive defeat on their travels, however be under no illusion that the game at the Turnbull Ground will be easy, they are unbeaten in 8 at home since the start of December.
Time will tell as to whether the result and their performance tonight has any bearing on Saturday.
Sleep well ;D
I saw my mate the other day, he said to me he'd seen the white Pele, so I asked who is he.....?
......he goes by the name of Mike Moseley, Mike Moseley, Mike Moseley, he goes by the name of Mike Moseley!
