Does anyone have or know where I can find Cheshire League Cup winners and Mid Cheshire Cup Winners in the past back to 1919? I have all league standings and Senior Cup Finals but not these two.

I have been retired for 8 years now and I can confirm two things; You cannot work out how you found time to go to work and it is wonderful to be TOTALLY in charge of your life, with the wife's permission of course. Read me in the Our Town magazine.

Some info in the following links. It might be a case of noting down winners you are sure of and then filling in the blanks via club histories. A mammoth task.

“In 1919 Mossley became founder members of the Cheshire County League, finishing runners up in the first season in both League and League Cup, returning to win the League Cup the following season beating Sandbach Ramblers in the final.

…. in 1961 they won the Cheshire League Cup for only the second time when they beat a strong Tranmere Rovers Reserve side 6-3 at Hyde United's ground under the guidance of former Blackburn Rovers star Eddie Quigley.”

The appointment of Colin Hutchinson as manager in 1966 marked an upturn in the club’s fortunes, winning the Cheshire League Cup in 1968 and promotion to the Northern Premier League a year later.

Macclesfield were founder members of the Cheshire County League in 1919 winning the League Cup in 1925 and achieving the League and Cup double in 1932. They retained the title in 1933 and finished runners-up the following year when Albert Valentine achieved the club’s goal scoring record of 82 goals, and added two more Senior Cup triumphs in 1930 and 1935. The post war years saw five more Senior Cup wins, a League Cup win in 1948 and championship victories in 1953, 1961 and 1964.
