Witton's Youth team are still searching for their first win of the new season as they welcome Crewe FC to Moss Farm in a North West Youth Alliance fixture on Sunday afternoon. The start to the new campaign has been tough so far on the youngsters but they continue to work hard and look to improve their performances in the games ahead. Crewe FC pose a different kind of challenge to the one that faced them in the FA Youth Cup at Curzon Ashton on Monday night and hopefully, the team can build on that experience starting on Sunday afternoon. The game is being played at Moss Farm with a 2.30pm kick off.

Full Time Score from Moss Farm:

Witton's Youth team registered their first win of the season with an excellent performance against Crewe FC Youth at Moss Farm on Sunday afternoon.

Following a tight beginning to the game, Witton eventually went in front when Gerard Crane scored from the spot on 43 minutes to give them a half time lead.

Striker Kyle Phipps added to the lead shortly after the break before Crewe got themselves back into it with two goals in the space of ten minutes.

The visitors pulled one back on 63 minutes and then levelled the scores ten minutes later. On 76 minutes, Kyle Phipps scored his second of the afternoon with a nicely worked goal to regain Albion's lead.

Zac Cooke increased the lead with the fourth, firing home from the corner of the penalty area to give Witton a bit of breathing space before Kyle Phipps completed his hat trick on 87 minutes, to seal the points.

An excellent team performance with a Man of the Match display from Tom Edwards.
