When we originally signed him, his profile said he was a forward from Bolton Wanderers and he played as a full back in Pre Season. He went out to Runcorn Linnets and has been used as either a defender or midfielder for them.

MOM IMHO our Goalie Danny ,some brilliant and match saving saves .

Wouldn't disagree with that vi8. Danny is the best keeper in the league by a country mile we are lucky to have him. UTA

Thought he was excellent particularly second half. Looks like another stroke of genius by the management. UTA

A professional performance by the whole team and 3 well deserved points in the end. This team is the best we have had for a long time and deserve to win the league with their never say die attitude. Keep it up boys, you WILL do it. UTA

A great match to watch, and a result deserving the massive effort of our team. On the run-in we will maybe loose one match, and if I was to choose one, this was the one. The reason being, is because the one team I fear of us not winning the play-offs is Basford. If we had lost tonight, this would have dented Basford's ability to get 5th place in the league. With us winning tonight, I think it looks more likely that our opposition in the play offs will be Basford. I think Basford are in the top 3 sides in the division. As such, I think it is imperative that we are not involved in the play-offs, in other words, we win the league!!!!

We know from past history finishing second does not mean you go up!! The young left back was excellent, could be used as a winger when Gards is back.

I have been retired for 8 years now and I can confirm two things; You cannot work out how you found time to go to work and it is wonderful to be TOTALLY in charge of your life, with the wife's permission of course. Read me in the Our Town magazine.

BOOOOM! Big win for us that. We were under the cosh first half but settled in the second and the defence were solid as a rock. Very professional performance against a good side and, as usual, they all gave 110% . Tom Owens MOM for me but wouldn't disagree if any of the defence or keeper got it. UTA

Our defense is second to none. Yes it takes goals to win games however there's no point in scoring goals if you're going to let them in right left and centre.

Well done to Danny Mckenna, thought he had a good game, not seen him before but someone said he's been on our books for a while

Well done Danny Roberts on the clean sheet and glad to have you back, you can see that the lads have confidence when the big lad is back between the sticks.

As postyred said Shaw lanes arses will be twitching and rightly so

Proud of the management and team
